The Smart City Annual Report for 2020 was developed to provide an overview of Mississauga’s Smart City program and report on the progress being made through the guidance of the Smart City Master Plan.

Highlighted in this annual report are the awards and certifications awarded to the City in 2020:

  • Certified as a Smart City ISO 37122 ‘Early Adopter’ by the WCCD
  • Awarded the title of Smart21 Intelligent Community of the Year by the Intelligent Community Forum
  • Ranked #8 in North America in openness by the Open Cities Index
  • Ranked #10 in North America for our Geospatial program by the Geospatial Maturity Index

In addition, the annual report provides key metrics of what makes Mississauga a Smart City, provides an interactive 3D Model of Smart City assets or “Digital in the Built Environment”, a list of Official Smart City Assets, and many more!
